What We Believe About The Bible

Published by Pastor Ron Campbell on

The Word of God, the Bible, is not simply a collection of words from God, it is a conduit for communicating ideas. It is alive, life-changing, and its supernatural dynamics work in us. With the trenchancy of a surgeon’s knife, the Bible reveals who we are and what we are not. It penetrates the core of our moral and spiritual life. It discerns what is inside of us, both the good and the evil. The demands of God’s Word in the Bible require decisions. We must not only listen to the Word; we must also let it shape our lives.

It is so vital to understand the message of the Bible. We can believe that the Bible is reliable, but unless we know what the Bible says, how trustworthy it is will do us no good. If we do not allow the Bible to become our point of view, we will wander off course in our lives.

We need to let the Bible guide our lives by hiding the Word in our hearts. Then when we get into a situation where we are tempted to do wrong or we don’t know quite what God would want us to do, the Holy Spirit can bring those passages appropriate to that situation to mind. Then we need to let God’s Word guide us in that situation.

We encourage you to begin a plan today to hide God’s Word in your heart and see what God will do to bless you through His Word.
